Dr. Stewart Thompson | International Composer and Educator

Stewart has enjoyed a varied life as a performed and recorded orchestrator for theater and recording alongside his work as an educator, teacher, examiner and published composer. His work has been performed in theaters and exam rooms the world over and his students have successful careers as professional musicians in all manner of genres. He has also edited editions of the works of Robin Milford for performance, broadcast and recordings by artistes such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Chamber Ensemble of London and Rupert Marshall-Luck.

A Bachelors graduate of the Manchester Metropolitan University, he continued his studies at the Open University specializing in English Music of the Early 20th Century. He is Head of Music at Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University and also a Professor at Logos University, International where he completed his Doctor of Education degree specializing in Music Ed. He is also Principal of Victoria College of Music Exams, London and has been encouraging and giving feedback to students from beginner to postgraduate level for over 2 decades. He holds a range of professional memberships and fellowships in music in both the UK and abroad.
